"Recuerda quién eres"

Este es un fragmento del discurso que el Elder K. Brett Nattress , Setenta Autoridad General , compartió el 20 de Marzo de 2018 en un Devocional para Jóvenes Adultos en la Universidad de Brigham Young (BYU). El discurso de titula en inglés :" Remember who you are" ( "Recuerda quién eres")


VERSIÓN ORIGINAL EN INGLÉS:

"... You have a divine destiny! In the strength of the Lord, you can do anything. And as long as you trust in the Lord, follow Him, and stand as His witnesses, you will be just fine.

Remember, this is the only game of which I am aware where the winner has already been determined. The only question is whether or not we will stay on the winning side—and stay in the game. You may stumble along the way; you might even take a few hard falls. But you must get up every time! And you must not let the adversary entice you to quit and take yourself out of the game.

Satan’s plan is not only to tempt us to do something wrong; it is also to discourage us so that we stop moving forward. He wants us to give up, to forget who we are, to define ourselves by our mistakes. He wants us to be miserable just like him. He wants us to lose our desire to succeed. He wants us out of the game and out of this war that began in the premortal existence..."

"... You cannot let this happen! If you have to stand on a broken leg, then you keep standing. Do not let him take you out of the game. Stay true and faithful to who you are..."

TRADUCCIÓN AL ESPAÑOL :

Tienes un destino divino. Con la fuerza del Señor puedes hacer todas las cosas. En tanto que confíes en el Señor, le sigas y seas Su testigo,estarás bien. Recuerda, este es el único juego del cual soy consciente que el ganador ya ha sido establecido. La única pregunta que surge es si estamos o no del lado del ganador  y si permaneceremos en el juego. Quizás tropieces en el camino , incluso podrías tener duras caídas. Sin embargo , en todo momento debes levantarte! Y no permitas que el adversario te tiente a abandonar el juego.

El plan de Satanás no sólo consiste en tentarnos a hacer algo malo, sino que también consiste en desanimarnos para que no continuemos avanzando. Él quiere que renunciemos, quiere que nos olvidemos de quiénes somos, desea que nos definamos basados en nuestros errores. Él quiere que seamos miserables así como Él es. Él pretende que perdamos el deseo de triunfar. Nos quiere fuera del juego y fuera de esta guerra que comenzó en nuestra existencia premortal...

¡No puedes permitir que esto ocurra! Si tienes que permanecer de pie sobre una pierna rota, entonces permanece . No permitas que Él te quite del juego. Manténte fiel y verídico a quien tú eres.
